Lucy's favorite song.

It's probably the pregnancy hormones talking, but this song makes me tear up every time I hear it!

Lucy 1, Vegetables 0.

Tonight when Lucy asked for a popsicle toward the end of dinner, I said, "Hey, you have to eat a bite of cucumber before you can have a popsicle, ok?" I explained to her that you have to eat (or at least try) your veggies before you get to have a treat. Lucy met me halfway and used her cucumber spear as a scoop for the caesar dressing on the side, meant to make the cucumber more appealing. So now she thinks creamy salad dressing is a vegetable, I guess.

See how she tilted her dinner plate to get the best angle on the salad dressing...

The sweet taste of victory.

Lucy and Emmet.

We're pretty lucky that Emmet, with all of his hang-ups about being home alone and delivery men and howling, doesn't have any problems with kids. He seems to really love Lucy.

Lucy on the swings.

(Taken with my Blackberry - not bad!)

On Grandma and Grandpa's Deck

She climbed up on the chairs all by herself and was quite proud.

Ready to be a big sister?

It's hard to say for sure whether Lucy understands how much life will change around here in a couple months (uh, not quite sure I fully grasp it either), but she does seem to take good care of her baby doll.

Ok, so the baby is naked. Her clothes are around here somewhere. Still, Lucy looks pretty cute and content, right? We'll see how she does with the real thing in May.

Lucy throws a tea party.

Daycare was closed today for a teacher in-service day, so Lucy and I spent the day together. Highlights included taking Emmet to the groomer's, going to Wegmans, napping, picking up Emmet, and finally, a tea party. She's an excellent hostess and put on her best jewelry for the occasion.
