Newsflash!

Lucy is sleeping through the night! This is a photo illustration of what this awesome phenomenon looks like. Joe gets the new parent of the year award in my book - he's the one who gets her to settle down and konk out every night.

First smile caught on film!

This was taken yesterday before our first walk on the trail behind our house using our previously enjoyed baby jogger. She liked the walk, too, though she did let out a few dramatic "Ooooooooo!" sounds when the wind would blow.

One month old!

Above is Miss Lucy on her one-month birthday with a cake (which we ate for her) courtesy of grandma. And here she is in the first of 12 monthly photos in the same 12-month sized onsie. This was a Martha Stewart idea to visually track her growth over the first year. The idea is that she'll actually fit into that onsie eventually, but gosh, look at those little chicken legs right now! She didn't get those slender thighs from me. Anyway, let's see if I actually remember to take this photo this each month.
